DO NOT INSTALL/UPDATE TO 7.11.0
First of all: How can Naver release such a bad update? Did the company even test the 7.11.0 update before they released it?
Version 7.10 worked just fine on the iPhone 6/iOS 9. I updated to 7.11.0 and the app would not stop malfunctioning. It kept crashing immediately after opening. I deleted it and reinstalled it. Upon reinstallation it still wouldnt work-- I couldnt even log in to my account because it still kept crashing as I was trying to enter the verification code.
I tried downloading version 7.11.0 on my ipad. It appeared to be working alright until I closed the app. Every time I open it after closing, I find myself logged out and have to log back in. And even on the iPad it crashes.
I am now using version 5.9 on my phone, which I got from a previous backup of my old phone. Still, this isnt even a real solution because Naver is ending support for all versions below 6.0.0 on Sept. 19, 2017--six days from the time I am writing this review.
I use Line to communicate with more than 200 individuals about business and leisure matters. Almost all of my friends and family use it. Its a real shame that a popular app such as this is also a truly problematic one. If Line werent the only way I could reach many of my friends/family, I would stop using it immediately. Unfortunately, Line is the only way I can get in touch with important contacts and I cant stop using it.
