Data protection: still Videos, Fotos and Files are NOT encrypted.
There is nothing to find if video calls and normal calls via Line are encrypted.
Why does Line now force me to allow access to my infos for all official accounts if I only accept one official account? They can use nearly all data in my Profile (especially my photo and so on).
So this app has not become as secure as I was hoping.
And the customer service does not respond to questions about the things above.
Video calls still are not really fluent and stable. Often the mouth moves and the tone comes a second or more later. Also the resolution is not really good.
I live in a big city and have a really fast and stable mobile connection. So this cannot be the problem. Even when in wifi this problem shows up from time to time.
The iPad app logs out so often! Constantly you have to log in again and again.
So in my opinion there is a lot of work to do.
It is the app wich has the biggest potential to be better as WhatsApp. The stickers, the timeline and so on are great things to adress all the different needs the messenger/networking people have.
And there is still so much that can be invented and implemented.
But data protection is one of the biggest topics today and so Line should become much more secure.
